Projects Executed in the Center
Building Al-Noor Mosque
Believing in the importance of performing its mission and achieving its vision and goals on a sound basis, the organization decided to complete the infrastructure of Al-Nour Center by building a mosque that belongs to the center and through which the blind students will be able to perform the prayers inside the center and attend the religious lessons and classes of memorizing the Holy Quran without the need for any companion to lead them to nearby mosques. 300 blind people are beneficiaries from this project besides the residents of the neighboring area
- General Objective: developing services and programs for centers working in the field of visual disability.
- Special Objective: enabling 300 blind students in Al-Noor Center to pray inside the center.
- Target Group: (300) blind students in Al-Noor Center for Blind People Rehabilitation and Care
- Project budget: (98797 $) Ninety-eight thousand seven hundred and ninety-seven dollars.
- Project Location: The mosque is located in Al-Noor Center – Alsafia – Sana’a.
Al-Noor Center Kitchen Project
Based on the right of the blind to learn and the fact that Al-Noor Center includes 250 students from different stages, it was imperative to provide nutrition for them, so we have furnished the kitchen of Al-Noor Center in a way that is appropriate to the increase in the students number.
- General Objective: creating a special environment for Al-Noor Center.
- Special Objective: Equipping the kitchen of Al-Noor Center for the Blind.
- Target Group: 300 blind students at Al-Noor Center for Blind People Rehabilitation and Care
- Budget: $ 25090 (twenty-five thousand ninety dollars).
- Project Justifications: The blind students need to be provided with their daily food.
Furnishing the Third Floor of Al-Noor Center
Al-Noor Center for the Blind is one of the educational centers for rehabilitating the blind, which attracts a large number of students. The blind are educated at the center from kindergarten to the ninth grade. One of the services produced by the center is the housing for the students coming from Sana’a suburbs of and the other governorates. And all these services are provided for the students. The third floor of Al-Noor Center was furnished and opened in 2013 to accommodate 60 blind students in kindergarten and early grades.
- General Objective: Giving the blind an access to education.
- Special Objective: Providing housing for 60 blind students to enable them to be educated at Al-Noor Center.
- Target group: 60 blind students.
- Budget: (6929545) six million nine hundred and ninety-nine thousand and five hundred and forty-five riyals, what equals to (32230) dollars.
- The Project Impact: Enabling the blind students coming from Sana’a suburbs and the other governorate s to exercise their educational rights.
