The Program of Receiving New Students for the Academic Year 2019-2018

Under the slogan (Starting Point), the Cultural Center for the Blind at Sana’a University carried out the program of receiving the new students of the academic year 2018/2019 for 35 female and male students of different faculties and departments on Monday 15/10/2018. The program started with a welcome speech delivered by Ms. Marwa Al-Habari, an official of the administration of developing the blind at the center, who welcomed all the students and talked about the center and the services it provides to the university blind students. This was followed by a training course for the trainer Mohammed Al-Arafi, in which he discussed how each person with vigour can start and qualify himself to be an effective and beneficial building block for himself and his society.

The third part of the program discussed a success story of a blind student, Intisar Alariq, who was one of the top students at the University of Science and Technology. She described her life at the university stage from the beginning to the end, and how she managed strongly to overcome all the difficulties, challenging her disability.

The program was concluded with a speech by Ms. Donia Al-Absi, Secretary of the Center, stressing the importance of education and hardworking for the blind student to become an effective building block in the society, the student duties, and the center role towards raising the scientific and intellectual level for each blind student, wishing them a bright future full of giving and success.
