This activity was organized to raise persons with disabilities awareness of Resolution 1325 and the international resolutions on women’s rights. The workshop targeted 40 disabled and blind people from AOBWC and the Association for Persons with Motor Disabilities.

The activity began by introducing the Granddaughters to the AOBWC sections. Then Hanaa Muqbel, assistant of Bilquis’ Granddaughters Official in YLDF, delivered a speech in which she emphasized the importance of getting knowledge about the international resolutions related to women’s rights and declared that this work is the first activity through which the granddaughters moved up to the tender ladder. And then she opened the workshop, announcing the axes of the resolution and the other international resolutions.

The activity included a speech by Ms. Hayat Al-Hammadi, Deputy General Director of AOBWC, in which she gave a brief presentation about the organization and its most important facilities and activities.

The activity was concluded by drawing attention to the importance of such resolutions for women in the current situations. The participants expressed their great benefit from this work and requested AOBWC, YLDF and Bilquis Granddaughters managements to carry out such activities which develop their intellectual abilities.
