THE Second Course on the Importance of Sport for Blind Women

On Tuesday morning, 13 February 2018, Al-Aman Forum for the Blind Women held an educational course entitled (The Importance of Sport for Blind Women) at AOBWC headquarters. The course targeted (26) blind girls of the integration stage. The forum, which AOBWC had publicized last January, aims at developing the social, cultural, sports and other aspects for all blind girls of different ages, including the graduate blind girls. And in the sports aspect, the blind women were informed about the most suitable sports for blind women.

The course was conducted by the trainer Dr. Ahmed Jassim, Advisor of Youth and Sports Minister, who stressed on the importance of sport in general and its importance for blind women in particular. He also emphasized on his readiness to continue training the blind girls until they reach the World Championships what will raise the blind status and set their mark in Society.

The participants expressed their admiration and looked forward to more similar courses and activities that fit their needs. Teacher Nada Khaled, the Official of Sports and Recreation Commission, explained that the participants would be divided into sports teams based on each blind girl’s interest in the actual training.
