On Thursday, January 25, 2018, AOBWC commemorate the sixth death anniversary of the charity work leader Fatima Ahmed Al-Aqil which was on January 12. That was through an event of different parts to confirm on moving the way drawn by her. The event was carried out by a group of blind people, and AOBWC and its facilities staff, in addition to the participation of the brilliant artist Ammar Al-Sheikh and Ahmad Al-Kabous.

In conjunction with the anniversary, 3 of AOBWC facilities celebrated the 10th anniversary of their establishment. That facilities were Al-Aman House for Blind Women in Ibb Governorate, the Cultural Center for the Blind in Sana’a University, Al-Aman Center for Community Training and Rehabilitation. Also Al-Aman Forum for Blind Women was also announced.

The event was attended by the members of the General Assembly, AOBWC and its facilities staff and consultants, in addition to a group of Ms. Fatima’s family represented by Mr. Abdullah Ahmed Al-Aqil, who together with Ms. Sabah Huraish, honored the student Mona Shadad who was the second at the republic level in the Literature Section.
