AOBWC attended on Thursday, December 3, 2020, the celebration of the International Day of Disabled People which was held by the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled in partnership with The National Union of Associations for the Yemeni Disabled and with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Handicap International and UNICEF organization.

Many political and leading figures attended the ceremony and many words were delivered and emphasized on the importance of integrating the disabled into society, and the Organization participated in the ceremony through 3 of its blind kids who participated in the poetic and the singing operettas.

At the end of the ceremony, the Political Council, a number of supportive bodies, and a number of distinguished and creative people with disabilities were honored. And honoring included Ms. Sabah Huraish, Head of the Organization, Ms. Tayseer Matar, Advocacy Officer, and Rua’a Al-Ghabri, Amani Al-Thilaya, and Ahlam Aljahr.
