AOBWC and Yemeni Association for Care and Rehabilitation of the Blind, in the period from 27 to 30 August 2018, participated in the training workshop organized by Asian Blind Union (ABU) in Lebanon under the title (How NGOs can become integrating organizations), which was an extension of the workshop that the Union implemented last year.

The participants reviewed the activities and the previous workshop outputs implemented in their countries during the year. The three days’ events focused on the integrating civil society bodies and their characteristics, the mechanism of work and the interventions to the characteristics of integrating parties. Also they focused on necessity of networking between the organizations to exchange experiences and improve the level of work and the efficiency of organizations to become integrating organizations.

It is noteworthy that a unique experiment carried out by the Social Fund for Development in Yemen was presentation, which was praised by the participants. These events targeted four countries including Yemen.
