Cultural Center for the Blind

It is a complementary center for the merging program and the education tributaries for blind people in Sana’a University. It provides educational, cultural and leisure services via a readable and audible library and articulating computer lab. The center focuses in providing all information, data and studies that serve researchers, students and people specialized in disability. The number of graduates, from 2008 till 2018, reached 1643 blind male and female students. The registered students were 116 blind male and female students.

Objectives

  1. Developing the skills of graduate blind people
  2. Focusing on studies and researches related to disability, in general, and blindness in particular,
  3. To aware graduate students on the issues of general blindness disability
  4. Providing researchers and students with available information and data on disability

1. Braille courses (writing and reading in embossed font)
2. Diploma on Computer Driving License for the blind
3. Human development courses
4. Distributing educational aids
